Overview

I led the product design for LSO Soundhub, a digital platform created to connect composers, musicians, and emerging talent while strengthening the London Symphony Orchestra’s public engagement strategy. The initiative focused on evolving an early pilot into a scalable community-driven product supporting collaboration, content sharing, and event participation.

Key challenges included defining a new brand identity, designing personalised social experiences for multiple user types, and structuring content workflows such as blogging, event calendars, and private document sharing within a cohesive platform architecture. The work required extensive discovery, iterative UX definition, and the establishment of a modular design framework capable of supporting long-term platform growth.

The outcome was a distinctive, community-focused digital product supported by a new visual identity and customised social platform functionality. The solution enabled composers to build profiles, share work, and engage with events in a centralised environment, helping position LSO Soundhub as a pioneering digital initiative within the classical music ecosystem.
